Job Summary

As a Full-Time Store Associate at Pet Valu in Winnipeg, you will leverage your expertise to assist pet owners in choosing the best nutrition and solutions for their pets. Joining a passionate team of pet experts, you will engage deeply in serving both the store and its customers, making a meaningful difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers at checkout and provide product advice aligned with their pets' needs.
• Assist customers physically by carrying products to and from the store.
• Handle inbound calls professionally.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including sweeping, dusting, tidying, and sterilizing the self-serve dog wash area.
• Unload and organize deliveries efficiently.
• Restock inventory and arrange shelving displays as needed.
• Care for the store’s resident pet.
• Rearrange merchandise for optimal presentation where applicable.
• Perform day-to-day operational tasks to support smooth store functioning.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.

Applicant Requirements

• Availability during regular retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Mandatory strong pet knowledge; prior pet experience is highly beneficial.
• Excellent people skills are essential; customer service background is advantageous.
• Physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 45 pounds due to frequent deliveries of heavy pet product bags.
• Reliable means of transportation to commute to work consistently.
