Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sales Associate to join our team located in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge and enthusiasm to assist pet owners in selecting appropriate nutritional products and other pet care solutions. You will contribute to a team of passionate pet experts and enjoy various benefits while enhancing your retail and pet care skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as a cashier and assist customers with their purchases.
- Prepare merchandise orders, manage banking processes, and complete related paperwork.
- Restock small merchandise items (under 10 lbs) such as pet supplies and household goods in the sales area.
- Perform general store upkeep including sweeping, dusting, and other maintenance duties.
- Help unload delivery vehicles by handling cases and bags of pet food and supplies up to 50 lbs and placing stock.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or customer service.
- Familiarity with operating a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Possess an outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills.
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work according to the required schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
