About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant to join the Cannington Salvos Stores team. This full-time, permanent position involves supporting the Store Manager with daily operations and creating a motivating and welcoming store environment for staff, customers, and the local community in Cannington, Western Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate retail sales and handle Point-of-Sale transactions efficiently.
• Manage donation intake by collecting, sorting, and pricing items within the store.
• Contribute to and help coordinate store visual merchandising and overall presentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly and professional approach.
• Correctly display merchandise according to departmental guidelines and policies.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
• Consistently embody the core values of The Salvation Army in all workplace duties.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in retail sales is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong customer service abilities with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding results in a dynamic retail setting.
• Alignment with The Salvation Army's values: integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• Energetic, hands-on individual with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on a rotating roster including weekends and flexibility to work across different retail store locations.
