Full Time Overnight Janitor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable Overnight Janitor to maintain cleanliness and security for our facility during nighttime hours. This role is essential for preparing auditoriums, lobbies, restrooms, and other public and non-public spaces prior to the start of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain regular attendance and consistent presence during scheduled overnight shifts.
• Thoroughly clean auditoriums before business hours begin.
• Ensure lobby and hallways are neat, clean, and ready for customers.
• Stock and clean all restrooms before opening.
• Organize and maintain janitorial closet, restocking cleaning supplies as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums and compactors efficiently and safely.
• Inspect the facility for damages and report any findings to the General Manager promptly.
• Secure and report found items to management.
• Maintain building security by locking doors and managing alarm systems as necessary.
• Ensure all non-public areas remain secure through proper alarm system use.
• Follow applicable labor laws regarding employee breaks and meal periods.
• Comply with all safety and emergency protocols.
• Complete required training on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage of $18.25. Employees enjoy free movie tickets and discounted concessions at any Regal location. After six months of service and upon reaching 21 years of age, team members are eligible to participate in our 401(k) plan with a company match.

Candidate Qualifications

Successful candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to perform all duties successfully. Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not mandatory. The ability to communicate effectively with management, both verbally and in writing, is required, along with active listening skills to respond clearly and explain information adequately.

Applicants should demonstrate sensitivity and positive interactions with coworkers, problem-solving capabilities including gathering and evaluating information to resolve issues, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates must also be able to perform well under pressure.
