Role Overview
This full-time, on-location Nanny position is based in Accra, Greater Accra Region. The primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive childcare by overseeing children’s daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting their emotional and developmental well-being. The nanny will assist with feeding, preparing light and healthy meals, maintaining a tidy and child-friendly environment, and supporting daily routines such as playtime, homework, and bedtime.
Engagement with children through age-appropriate educational and fun activities that encourage early development is a critical part of the role. The nanny will collaborate closely with parents or guardians to align with household rules, maintain effective communication by providing daily updates, and tailor care to the family’s specific requirements.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Proven expertise in babysitting and childcare with the ability to provide safe and attentive supervision for children across various ages.
- Strong interpersonal skills rooted in patience, empathy, and positive behavior guidance when working with children.
- Basic culinary skills capable of preparing nutritious meals and snacks suitable for young children.
- Knowledge of early childhood development concepts to facilitate learning through play and structured activities.
- Dependability demonstrated through punctuality and the ability to maintain daily schedules and routines.
- Effective communication skills essential for coordinating with family members and delivering clear daily progress reports.
- Capability to sustain a safe, clean, and orderly environment tailored for children’s needs.
- Preference given to candidates with previous nanny or childcare experience.
