Job description
Position Summary
The Lot Associate is essential in assisting customers with loading their orders into vehicles and ensuring the parking lot area remains safe and inviting. As a frontline representative, this role significantly impacts customer experience by delivering excellent service through the Home Depot's GET Model.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the GET customer service model: Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking each customer.
- Keep an adequate number of shopping carts available near store entrances.
- Engage customers with open-ended questions about their projects to accurately assess needs and expertise.
- Offer assistance with loading merchandise into vehicles or carts, applying safe loading techniques.
- Maintain safety by ensuring exits and loading zones are clear of obstacles and debris; regularly sweep designated areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment safely following appropriate guidelines.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Physically demanding activities including bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.

- Exposure to warehouse conditions which may be dusty and noisy.
- Work performed outdoors in various weather conditions; frequent door openings may result in drafts and temperature fluctuations.
Additional Information
- Reports to Front End Supervisor.
- No travel requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience preferred.
- No certifications or leadership experience necessary.
