Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic, results-oriented Key Lead to play a pivotal role in store operations. This position involves building an inclusive workplace, coaching a high-achieving team, and ensuring operational excellence. As the leader on-duty, you will oversee shift activities, master the Knix selling framework, set sales floor standards, enhance customer experience, boost brand loyalty, and optimize store performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit thorough mastery of the Knix Selling Model by applying attentive listening, providing fitting assistance, and delivering sincere product suggestions to increase basket size.
  • Lead daily operations as the duty manager by opening and closing the store, running team huddles, communicating targets, and managing time, attendance, and scheduling when assistant management is unavailable.
  • Maintain compliance with operational procedures including POS systems, loss prevention strategies, and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure the store meets visual merchandising standards by keeping floors stocked, organizing size runs, and maintaining attractive displays. Collaborate with leadership on visual updates, seasonal launches, and promotional setups.
  • Oversee stock and inventory accuracy by managing shipment processing, restocking routines, loss prevention efforts, and inventory counts.
  • Promote a vibrant, welcoming culture by embodying Knix’s core values of inclusion, authenticity, respect, and support, ensuring that customers and staff alike feel appreciated and visible.

Qualifications

  • Between 1 to 2+ years of retail experience, ideally with leadership or keyholder responsibilities.
  • A proven track record in achieving sales targets and a solid grasp of retail metrics such as Conversion Rate, AOV, and Units Per Transaction (UPT). Skilled in executing structured retail selling methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with enthusiasm for mentoring, coaching, and nurturing productive relationships.
  • Resourceful and proactive, capable of managing conflict calmly and effectively with both employees and customers.

Eligibility

  • Must hold legal authorization to work in Canada and be at least 18 years old.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand and move efficiently throughout the store for prolonged shifts.
  • Willingness to maintain flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage of $22.70 CAD.
  • Inclusive work culture encouraging authenticity and diversity.
  • Competitive pay with eligibility for monthly bonuses.
  • Generous employee discounts and program gratuities.
  • Health benefits starting from the first day of employment, including mental health resources and therapy/coaching access.
  • Company matching contribution of up to 3% toward a Group Registered Savings Plan (GRSP).
  • Parental leave top-up program compensating up to 80% of salary.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth within a rapidly expanding company.
