Full-Time Food Runner

Overview

Join the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott team on the beautiful Island of Hawaii as a Full-Time Food Runner. This role involves delivering outstanding guest service by promptly setting and clearing tables, assisting with table service, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and public areas while embodying the aloha spirit.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently present a warm, friendly, and courteous attitude to guests, delivering personalized service.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Deliver food orders accurately and promptly to guests at their tables, including refilling water glasses.
• Efficiently clear and reset tables after guests depart, preparing for new arrivals.
• Restock utensils and bus stations to maintain readiness.
• Keep dining areas and public spaces clean and organized by performing side work to prepare for the next shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of bus stations, drains, and ice bins.
• Collaborate with other departments and colleagues to enhance overall department and hotel performance.
• Complete any additional duties as assigned by management, who may modify responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Preferred minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
• Valid TB clearance card.
• Proficient English communication skills to interact effectively with guests, management, and coworkers.
• Strong prioritization, organizational, and judgment abilities.
• Reliable and dependable work ethic.
• Applicants aged 16 or older are welcome.

Compensation

Hourly pay rate of $18.09.
