Job description
Position Overview
The Food and Consumables Associate plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer service by upholding Walmart's core values. This position involves maintaining and organizing the food and consumables sections, assisting with inventory management, and supporting sales activities.
Key Duties
- Organize and maintain department zones ensuring merchandise shelves, tables, and display areas are tidy and products are correctly placed.
- Regularly rotate stock and inspect items for expiration to ensure freshness and quality.
- Make certain products are clearly signed with applicable pricing information.
- Strictly follow regulations for cold chain management including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, product rotation, and attention to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Comply with procedures related to ordering inventory, managing clearance sales, price adjustments, and correct labeling of items.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.15.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
