Job Location and Employment Details

Position is based at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, 1700 Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. This role requires on-site work with a full-time schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Workdays may vary and include rotating weekends and holidays.

Role Summary and Responsibilities

The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, cookware, trays, kitchen areas, and equipment. Key duties include:

• Cleaning dishes by scraping, rinsing, and either hand washing or using dishwashing machines calibrated with proper racks or conveyor systems.
• Washing pots, pans, and trays thoroughly according to established procedures.
• Polishing silverware using burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or hand cloths as applicable.
• Adhering strictly to safety guidelines and maintaining the required temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keeping the dishwashing area organized and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors regularly to maintain hygiene and safety.
• Cleaning food preparation areas including work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Managing trash collection, steaming or hosing garbage cans for cleanliness.
• Transporting supplies and equipment between storage and work areas and assisting in loading and unloading.
• Performing additional duties assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience handling high-volume kitchen dishwashing operations is mandatory.

Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.00.
