Floor Technician

About the Role

TouchPoint Support Services is seeking a dedicated Floor Technician for a full-time position at Ascension Saint Vincent Heart Center located at 10580 North Meridian Street, Carmel, IN 46032. The role involves maintaining, restoring, and operating industrial floor care equipment to ensure the cleanliness and quality of hospital floors. The position requires working varied full-time schedules, including rotating weekends and holidays, with specific hours shared during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance using appropriate techniques such as stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing.
• Operate and manage various types of industrial floor care equipment effectively.
• Use automated cleaning machines for large floor surfaces.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, spot treatments, and vacuuming.
• Conduct maintenance and restorative procedures on all floor surface types.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• At least one year of prior experience in floor care or similar roles is preferred.
• Solid understanding of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines accurately.
• Physical capability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
