Full-Time Dishwasher

Overview

Flik Independent School Dining, part of Compass Group, is currently seeking dedicated full-time Dishwashers to join our team at Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama in Honolulu, HI. Job Summary

The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and work environments are hygienic and orderly.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrape, rinse, and wash dishes either by hand or using dishwashing machines, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Clean pots, pans, trays, and silverware using various methods including chemical dips, buffing, and polishing equipment.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to established procedures and monitoring temperatures and chemical usage.
• Keep the dishwashing area organized and compliant with safety protocols.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Clean walls, worktables, refrigerators, and meat blocks among other food preparation surfaces.
• Manage waste by removing trash, cleaning garbage cans through steam cleaning or hosing, and properly disposing of refuse.
• Assist with transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas and support loading/unloading activities.
• Perform additional duties as required to support kitchen operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with 3-compartment sinks and belt-driven dishwashing machines.

Working Hours and Location

Position requires full-time availability, Monday through Friday. Shifts available are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:45 AM to 7:30 PM. Interviews will provide further schedule details.

• Hourly pay rate fixed at $19.00 per hour.
