Job Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen equipment, and work areas, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove food residue from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or using dishwashing equipment to maintain thorough cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash cookware such as pots, pans, and trays following prescribed procedures to ensure complete sanitation.
• Polish silverware using designated equipment and methods according to set guidelines.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain required chemical levels and temperatures.
• Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas organized and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
• Mop and sweep kitchen floors regularly.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Handle trash disposal appropriately, including steam cleaning or rinsing garbage containers.
• Transport supplies and equipment between storage and workstations; assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dishwashing is mandatory.

Work Schedule and Location

Full-time position working Monday through Friday hours (specific times to be discussed during interview) at Uber New York Cafe located at 175 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10011.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage is set at $19.00. Employee referral bonuses are available.
