Full-Time Deli Clerk

Job Overview

We are seeking a courteous and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Full-Time Deli Clerk. This position involves various deli department tasks aimed at delivering excellent guest service at our Wilmington, NC location. The starting pay rate is $15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly and engage in polite, friendly interactions.
• Prepare deli items for sale including frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, and pricing products.
• Ensure products are kept at optimal levels, retaining quality and freshness.
• Maintain sanitation in all areas including coolers, freezers, preparation, and sales areas.
• Report guest requests and temperature issues promptly to management and supervisors.
• Keep the supply and work areas clean, organized, and tidy at all times.
• Fulfill other duties assigned by management as necessary.
• Perform front porch tasks to uphold the guest arrival standards.
• Use the public address system to announce specials and sales information.
• Assist in receiving and storing delivered products.

Qualifications

• Possess a friendly, outgoing personality suitable for customer service roles.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Be capable of lifting 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Exhibit strong communication, guest service, and sales skills.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for long durations during shifts.
