Job Role and Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly and courteously to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Prepare bakery products for sale by baking, weighing, and pricing items appropriately.
• Maintain high standards of product quality, freshness, and inventory levels at all times.
• Decorate cakes upon request, performing associated clerk duties when required.
• Keep all bakery preparation, storage, and sales areas clean and sanitized, including the cooler and freezer.
• Report any guest requests or concerns to management promptly.
• Communicate any refrigeration or temperature issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Organize and maintain the supply area in a neat and orderly fashion continuously.
• Carry out all additional tasks assigned by management.
• Support front end operations to uphold the store’s standard of minimizing customer wait times.
• Make announcements regarding specials and sales over the PA system.
• Assist with receiving bakery products and proper storage procedures.

Required Qualifications and Physical Demands

• Possess a friendly and upbeat personality suitable for engaging with customers and coworkers.
• Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Capable of lifting 25 pounds frequently and occasionally handling loads up to 50 pounds.
• Competent in reading and comprehending work-related instructions and information.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest service and the ability to promote sales.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to qualify for this position.
• Physically capable of bending, kneeling, and standing for extended durations as required by bakery duties.
