About The Role
The Union Hotel seeks a skilled and dedicated Chef to enhance their vibrant kitchen team. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, friendly setting under an experienced Head Chef, within a team environment that values camaraderie and mutual respect.
Responsibilities
- Work efficiently within a lively commercial kitchen setting, contributing to a fast-paced food service environment.
- Manage your assigned kitchen section independently, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality dishes throughout service hours.
- Consistently maintain excellent food presentation standards, showcasing pride in your culinary creations.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations and practices.
- Collaborate clearly and effectively with team members and customers using strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work a rotating schedule across a seven-day operation, fulfilling approximately 38 hours weekly, typically five days a week.
Requirements
- Possess at least three years of experience working professionally in kitchens with diverse culinary styles and cuisines.
- Hold a Certificate IV qualification in hospitality or equivalent trade experience.
- Maintain impeccable personal grooming and professional presentation.
- Demonstrate flexibility, willingness to adapt, and excellent customer service capabilities.
- Available for a rotating roster between Monday and Sunday.
