Full Stack Web Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer to design, build, and sustain robust software applications tailored to user needs. This role involves creating scalable data pipelines for contact management and collaborating with various teams to develop citizen-centered products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clean, scalable, and efficient software code to meet user requirements.
• Create resilient data ingestion, deduplication, and segmentation pipelines for large-scale contact data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain quality and promote team knowledge sharing.
• Investigate and fix software defects and optimize performance.
• Own the end-to-end quality by implementing automated tests and continuous integration pipelines, as there is no dedicated QA.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation aligned with architectural standards.
• Integrate the ContactSG platform with downstream communication channels such as email and SMS used by various agencies.
• Keep abreast of current industry trends and apply new technologies to improve products.
• Take on technical leadership responsibilities when needed, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring alignment with business and best practice standards.

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of five years professional experience in software development, preferably full stack web development.
• A degree in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles including data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and programming.
• Hands-on proficiency in full stack development using React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud computing services, particularly AWS, is advantageous.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code collaboratively.
• Experience working with data lakes and handling large-scale data processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with record matching and deduplication strategies is an added advantage.
• Background in CRM systems, contact management, or customer data platforms is beneficial.
• Kotlin experience is preferable due to legacy code support requirements.
