Role Overview

The Full Stack Software Engineer role involves end-to-end application development, covering frontend and backend components, primarily in Java. Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software solutions to meet specified business needs and technical criteria, often working on resource augmentation assignments at various client locations throughout Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret functional and technical specs to create application designs and specific programming documents.
• Design, develop, test, enhance, and sustain application modules following established protocols and standards.
• Create full stack applications utilising Java for backend and modern frontend frameworks such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Adhere to security best practices during software development.
• Diagnose and rectify errors to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Engage in system integration meetings and corroborate efforts with analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Assist in system and user acceptance testing phases.
• Compile and manage project documentation, reports, and delivery artifacts.
• Address bugs promptly for seamless production operation.
• Participate in skill enhancement sessions under project guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven expertise in Java backend development, with Spring Boot knowledge preferred.
• Hands-on frontend experience with at least one modern framework like TypeScript, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Comprehensive experience across both frontend and backend development stages.
• At least three years of professional experience in application software development.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise or government technology systems is advantageous.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.

Desirable Attributes

• Familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies; not mandatory but desirable.
• Knowledge of additional backend technologies beyond Java.
• Relevant certifications in technology or Agile methodologies.
