Role Overview
Join NinjaTech AI as a Software Engineer based at our Sydney office. You will work full-time on-site in a collaborative environment with daily interactions across product management and engineering teams. This role involves designing, building, and scaling intelligent AI-powered applications and automation tools using our advanced Agentic AI platform, SuperNinja.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complete features for the web application (super.myninja.ai) ensuring excellent user experience.
- Enhance application performance and optimize for fast responsiveness.
- Create and maintain comprehensive platform and API documentation.
- Produce clean, efficient, well-documented code in React, Next.js, and Python supporting automated testing and CI/CD processes.
- Engage in peer code reviews and offer constructive feedback.
- Diagnose and resolve issues to enhance platform stability and prevent future problems.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to prioritize features and align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Integrate backend communications using RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
- Implement unit tests covering robustness, edge cases, and usability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies to improve development workflows.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year in software development, emphasizing scalable and dependable web apps.
- Versatile developer comfortable across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.
- Professional experience with at least one technology: Python, React, Node.js, or Next.js, and enthusiasm to learn others.
- Familiar with cloud services (strong preference for AWS) and various databases such as Supabase, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Firebase.
- Systematic approach to software design, valuing architecture quality.
- Strong ownership mindset, able to independently manage tasks from inception to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
- Personal projects or contributions to open source, hackathons highlighting end-to-end development.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, WebSockets, CI/CD pipelines, or service-oriented architectures.
- Interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and language model technologies.

Compensation
The total annual salary ranges between A$160,000 and A$190,000, aligned with experience and qualifications.
