Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to grow and enhance our Capture and Intelligence platform. This role involves working in a Python-centric monorepo that supports communication capture, compliance workflows, event processing, AI classification, investigative workflows, and governance products. Candidates should be comfortable managing complex production environments including external APIs with OAuth, handling rate limits, asynchronous job orchestration, managing Postgres databases, addressing customer-specific edge cases, utilizing LLM-powered intelligence, and delivering enterprise-grade reliability. Success requires strong coding capability, ownership of components and workflows, and collaborative precision within a high-performance team.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain core backend systems spanning data capture, shared platform models, event streams, asynchronous workers, APIs, and AI intelligence workflows.
• Deliver top-notch technical solutions for projects impacting multiple service areas or domains.
• Engage with client-facing user interfaces that facilitate AI-guided investigations of communications.
• Investigate and resolve complex production and customer issues related to data accuracy, API operations, asynchronous failures, performance, scalability, and compliance.
• Work within a modern agile framework including design and code reviews, pairing, technical documentation, and sound design principles.

Technical Environment

• Python 3.12 with typed code using Pydantic.
• Postgres and SQL including psycopg driver.
• Asynchronous job systems leveraging AWS services such as SQS and Lambda-style orchestration.
• Docker-based development and local mock environments.
• Shared platform models covering accounts, feeds, events, jobs, schedules, agents, investigations, decisions, archives, and integrations.
• Capture services managing API clients, authentication flows, data normalization, synchronization, retries, and backfills.
• Advanced AI systems with structured LLM outputs, evaluations, token management, embeddings/vector search, local model usage, and agent workflows.
• Front-end UI development using React and TypeScript for configuration, agent runs, investigations, decisions, and operational processes.

Required Experience

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience developing full-stack systems with ownership over defined technical areas.
• Proficient in Python, with experience in typed code, testing frameworks, and debugging in production environments; familiarity with Python data modeling is a strong asset.
• Experience with TypeScript or modern UI frameworks is essential; JavaScript expertise is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated operational knowledge of relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Experience deploying applications in cloud-native environments, especially AWS, is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of distributed or asynchronous systems involving queues, workers, retries, idempotency, rate limiting, and failure recovery mechanisms is strongly valued.
• Proficiency in API development and integration is important.
