Full Stack Engineer (100% Remote - Ireland)

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to contribute to the future innovation and growth of our core product, working remotely within Ireland in a small, autonomous team alongside senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, prototyping, and delivery of innovative features spanning backend PHP and frontend JavaScript, integrating rapidly evolving technologies such as Python and Node.js where relevant.
• Drive the development of AI-powered insights and analytics capabilities, continuously exploring and validating novel product ideas to enhance user experience, data visualization, and system integrations.
• Take full ownership from concept through deployment, balancing the need for speed with maintaining high-quality sustainable engineering and avoiding over-complexity.
• Prioritize resolving blockers proactively while operating with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Ensure code excellence by writing automated tests, conducting code reviews, maintaining thorough technical documentation, and embedding security best practices.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and product trends, sharing insights to foster innovation culture across the organization.
• Effectively communicate technical trade-offs, ideas, and prototypes with co-founders and senior engineers via tools like Slack, Jira, and Confluence in a remote, global team setting.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development using PHP or Python, alongside frontend expertise with JavaScript and database management.
• Demonstrated ability to autonomously deliver features end-to-end—from initial concept and prototyping to production release.
• Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic, product-oriented approach to integrating innovation and new technologies.
• Experience balancing rapid feature delivery against engineering quality and security considerations.
• Solid understanding of security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Proficient in writing automated tests and producing clear, detailed technical documentation.
• Excellent proficiency in English with strong communication skills suited to a fully remote, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in analytics, reporting, data visualization, or AI/machine learning integration projects.
• Participation or contributions to open-source initiatives.
• Familiarity with user experience principles and data-based product design approaches.
• Background in innovation, research & development, or rapid product prototyping.
• Fluency in German language is an asset.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance experimentation, delivery speed, and quality.
