Job description
Company Overview
At SongPush, we believe talent exists everywhere, but opportunities to thrive financially are scarce. Millions of creators remain invisible despite their creativity, while value funnels to intermediaries and brands face a fragmented, opaque market. To address this, we've developed tools empowering both creators and brands simultaneously.
Creators can transform their profiles into income streams by engaging with campaigns quickly, producing content they take pride in, and receiving fair payment based on creativity rather than follower counts. Brands can issue a single brief to activate hundreds of creators and obtain live content within 24 hours.
WePush, our creator marketing platform, is Europe's fastest growing, with over 150,000 creators and 500,000+ collaborations supporting brands such as L'Oréal, ABOUT YOU, Zalando, and Sony Music. Our success metrics focus on the number of creators earning through WePush and the millions of consumers reached by brands via these creators.
Technical Environment
Our architecture features a distributed system comprising Angular and React frontends, a native iOS app, a Node/TypeScript application server managing booking and matching, an independently deployable microservices backend running on Kubernetes, a real-time layer, a ledger facilitating real monetary movement, and multiple scrapers.
The technology stack you'll engage with includes:
- Native iOS app using SwiftUI, undergoing a native rewrite
- Marketplace web apps built in Angular, plus newer internal tools in React
- Node/TypeScript application server handling scheduling logic, invoicing, and document generation
- Microservices in Node.js and Go, gradually replacing a legacy Hack/HHVM codebase
- Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and deployment
- CI/CD pipelines powered by GitLab CI with Kaniko, semver releases, and cross-service triggers
- Scheduled CronJobs managing reminders, payouts, statistics, token refreshes, and media polling
- A ledger service managing real balances and payouts
- A scraper fleet overcoming platform anti-bot measures and rate limits
- Emerging AWS serverless edge utilizing Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and CloudFront for new greenfield projects
Role Description
As a Fullstack AI Product Engineer, you will operate across the entire stack and leverage AI agent tools to accelerate understanding, development, and maintenance. AI tools aren't just for code generation here – they assist in rapidly comprehending complex legacy systems and verifying changes effectively.
You will:
- Develop and maintain native iOS SwiftUI applications
- Work on Angular and React web frontend interfaces
- Enhance the Node/TypeScript application server managing core business logic
- Contribute to backend microservices coded in Node.js and Go
- Utilize Kubernetes and Helm for deployment management
- Leverage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for streamlined delivery
- Support scheduled jobs and scraper infrastructure
- Participate in integrating and evolving AWS serverless components
Expectations and Approach to AI
- Use AI tools as a standard part of your workflow to quickly understand unfamiliar services and codebases
- Exercise critical judgment to validate or reject AI-generated suggestions before deploying
- Be versatile across languages and system layers without necessarily specializing in all technologies
- Respect the software promotion process through development, testing, and production environments without shortcuts
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience working with real distributed systems rather than monolithic applications
- Ability to trace issues from frontend symptoms through application server down to backend components and implement fixes across layers
- Comfort with diving into unfamiliar codebases, possibly using languages not previously known, while relying on AI assistance and personal analysis
- Transparency about uncertainties; preferring investigation (e.g., log checks) over guesses
Not Required
- Past experience with Hack or R languages (the team is phasing out Hack/HHVM legacy code)
- Portfolio of AI-free programming; success here depends on effective software construction within real systems aided by AI, not independent coding ability
Benefits and Culture
This opportunity allows you to build at the intersection of AI, creator technology, and consumer products, working closely with founders and leaders from companies like Spotify and Google. You'll enjoy a blend of startup speed and proven product success.
- Competitive salary plus meaningful equity participation
- Significant ownership and freedom to innovate from day one
- Fast, low-bureaucracy decision-making with direct founder interactions
- Collaborative team culture focused on ambition, pragmatism, and speed
- Berlin office-based culture with flexibility for remote working days
- Perks including public transit pass, gym membership, team lunches, and more
- A chance to help create a category-defining technology
Everyone is welcome regardless of background or appearance. This role suits builders who enjoy moving fast.
