Role Summary
We are looking for a versatile Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team, responsible for maintaining, optimising, and enhancing our Deep Tech Central platform. This junior developer role requires proficiency in broad full-stack development and eagerness to integrate emerging AI technologies. The position involves collaboration with the Product Manager and reporting to the Technical Lead, supporting a diverse and evolving tech stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable full-stack applications and administrative interfaces.
- Work within an Agile environment converting Jira tasks, prototype designs, and product specifications into performant, reliable code.
- Contribute to the conception and implementation of AI-powered features to improve user experience, including experimental work with Generative AI, Large Language Models, and AI-related APIs.
- Build and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda, AWS SAM, and the Serverless Framework.
- Manage and improve a varied codebase encompassing modern stacks such as Next.js and NestJS, along with legacy technologies including PHP, Drupal 9, Angular, and Vue.js.
- Handle cloud infrastructure deployments and configurations via AWS Console and CLI, and maintain continuous integration/delivery workflows with Jenkins and Groovy scripting.
- Implement and oversee security measures using AWS security tools, ClamAV, and NetSkope to maintain platform integrity.
- Automate reporting tasks employing Python for generating internal HackerRank analytics.
Technical Requirements
- Frontend: Expertise in Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, plus UI frameworks including Material UI, Angular, Vue.js, and Nuxt.
- Authentication: Experience with AWS Cognito.
- Backend: Proficient in Node.js, NestJS; familiarity with legacy systems built on PHP and Drupal 9.
- Scripting: Python for automated report processing.
- Databases: AWS RDS Aurora (PostgreSQL), MySQL; using Prisma ORM.
- API Integrations: Knowledge of Zoom and scheduler services.
- Cloud & Serverless: AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Load Balancer; DNS management with Cloudflare; messaging tools like AWS SNS and SES; deployment using Jenkins, AWS Console, and CLI.
- Security & Monitoring: Tools like AWS WAF, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- AI and Machine Learning (Preferred): Familiarity with AI API integrations from providers like OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock; understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex; knowledge of vector embeddings and vector databases like pgvector in PostgreSQL.
