Full Stack Developer – E-Commerce, Applications & Systems

About the Role

Arkan Marketing Services seeks a skilled and results-driven Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain e-commerce websites, mobile apps, internal business platforms, APIs, dashboards, and automation solutions spanning multiple retail brands. The position demands a hands-on developer who quickly grasps business needs, proposes suitable technical approaches, and shepherds projects from concept through to stable production deployment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain high-performance e-commerce websites, web and mobile applications, and internal business systems.
• Convert business workflows and manual tasks into structured, scalable digital solutions.
• Create responsive storefronts and web apps using React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
• Work with Shopify, WooCommerce, and bespoke commerce platforms to build features like product pages, collections, search/filtering, carts, checkout, customer accounts, wishlists, loyalty rewards, and order tracking.
• Build and maintain customer-facing iOS and Android mobile applications using technologies such as React Native, Flutter, and Expo.
• Design scalable back-end systems leveraging Node.js, TypeScript, Python, REST APIs, webhooks, background jobs, queues, authentication, and role-based access control.
• Manage databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis, ensuring optimized queries and effective data management.
• Integrate diverse systems including payment gateways, ERP, inventory, delivery management, CRM, WhatsApp APIs, analytics, and marketing tools.
• Develop custom Shopify apps, plugins, APIs, and third-party integrations as needed.
• Create internal platforms to streamline product management, inventory, procurement, restocking, order handling, customer service, approvals, reporting, and workflow automation.
• Optimize website performance focusing on speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, mobile responsiveness, conversion rates, API responsiveness, caching, and scalability.
• Implement robust security measures such as authentication, permissions, input validation, rate limiting, secrets management, API security, and secure deployment protocols.
• Test, debug, maintain, and enhance existing codebases and applications.
• Deploy and administer applications using Git, GitHub, Linux environments, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Nginx, Vercel, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or comparable platforms.
• Set up logging, monitoring, backup systems, error tracking, and production support capacities.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, AI coding agents) responsibly to boost development speed and quality, thoroughly reviewing AI-generated code before deployment.
• Create reusable components and systems to support multiple brands and future project scalability.
• Maintain precise technical documentation and orderly development records.
• Effectively manage several projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery of dependable, production-ready outcomes within deadlines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Demonstrated portfolio with real production websites, applications, or software systems.
• Proficient in frontend technologies: React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
• Proficient backend development skills with Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom-built commerce solutions.
• Strong command of REST API design, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, third-party integrations, and payment system integration.
• Solid understanding of database design principles, indexing, query optimization, scalability considerations, and data security.
• Preferred experience in mobile app development using React Native, Flutter, Expo, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment practices and tools such as Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, and server management.
• Knowledge of application security strategies, performance tuning, testing methodologies, monitoring, and debugging best practices.
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted coding tools integrated into professional development workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to learn and apply new technologies independently.
• Strong competency in interpreting business requirements and delivering practical solutions from inception to deployment.
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in English communication; Arabic language skills constitute an advantage.
• Current residence in Qatar with availability for full-time onsite work in Doha.
