Overview
Join Auto & General, a rapidly expanding insurance provider in Australia, as a Full Stack Developer to enhance digital experiences for customers and internal teams. This role offers opportunities at all levels, from Junior Developers to Lead Developers, within a vibrant Agile and DevOps-driven environment focused on creating front-end applications and backend Java Microservices on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, high-quality software solutions that meet sprint objectives and provide measurable value.
- Lead architectural decisions and guide the evolution of the technology stack to support innovative business needs.
- Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and optimize AWS deployment infrastructure.
- Take initiative in product ownership by proposing and implementing innovative improvements.
- Ensure rigorous testing protocols for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing are implemented and upheld.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional Agile teams throughout the development lifecycle including deployment and support.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of three years in software development or related fields, although enthusiastic candidates with solid foundational knowledge may apply for junior roles.
- Expertise in modern front-end technologies such as Angular 2+, JavaScript (ES2015+), and TypeScript.
- Experience with other modern frameworks like NgRx, React, or Vue is a plus.
- Proficient in Java programming, specifically with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud microservices architecture.
- Strong skills in SQL and the usage of ORM tools.
Preferred Background
- Experience in financial services or the insurance industry is advantageous.
Work Locations
The position is based in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast offices, offering options including the Toowong, North Lakes, or Kawana sites, each with convenient transport and amenities.
