Full Stack Desk Developer

Joining Vitol's Singapore analytics team as a Full Stack Developer involves developing innovative applications that impact critical firm decisions and collaborating internationally with commercial and operational desks.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders to architect and implement scalable, robust systems with significant autonomy.
• Gather requirements and engineer solutions that influence key commercial judgments.
• Oversee projects from initial concept and requirements collection through to final delivery.
• Develop and maintain essential data feeds supporting analytics and pricing models.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of Vitol's Management Information Systems to facilitate their ongoing development and success.

Qualifications

• A relevant university degree.
• At least three years of full-stack development experience in C# or Python (or both), including proficiency with ORM and API frameworks.
• Minimum three years’ experience developing full-stack applications with TypeScript and React.
• Practical experience using backend technologies such as ASP.NET, Entity Framework, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.
• Strong background in building, managing, and optimizing relational SQL databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with rapid dashboard tools such as Streamlit, Plotly Dash, React, and capability to convey complex data visually to diverse audiences.
• Good understanding and practice of code reviews, version control, and issue tracking.

Preferred but not required:

• Proficiency in both C# and Python.
• Experience with Oracle/PL SQL development, especially stored procedures.
• A keen interest in UI/UX design principles.
