Fueller / Shunter / Topside Checker

Role Overview

Arriva is looking for diligent and motivated individuals to fill the position of Fueller / Shunter / Topside Checker at their Telford facility. This role offers a chance to become part of a team dedicated to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and efficient vehicle operations in support of the company's sustainable transportation services.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the workshop and surrounding areas.
• Clean vehicles following Arriva's standards and accurately maintain associated records.
• Refuel the fleet to ensure all vehicles are ready for service the following day.
• Maintain the fueling area by cleaning and removing any hazards before commencing work.
• Perform daily sweeping and mopping duties, with occasional intensive interior vehicle cleaning.
• Comply fully with all internal company policies and statutory health and safety requirements during daily operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience is beneficial but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Possession of a full UK manual driving license with 6 points or fewer.
• Capability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical examination.
