Role Overview
Join Arriva Group at our Harlow depot as a PCV Bus Driver and play a key role within the community, connecting passengers to their destinations whether commuting, shopping, or school runs. This position offers an engaging opportunity to form lasting relationships with passengers and be a valued part of their daily journeys.
Working Hours and Pay
- Hourly wage ranges from £16.85 to £17.85, with base pay of £16.85 per hour and premium overtime rates of £17.85 per hour.
- Rotating shift patterns cover 5 out of 7 days, planned 6-8 weeks ahead for personal scheduling.
- Shift start times vary between 4:00 AM (mornings), 12:00 PM (afternoons), and 6:00 PM (evenings), on a rotational basis. Fixed shifts for specific times are not available.
- Opportunities for paid overtime during extra shifts and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for transporting passengers safely while providing excellent customer service, ensuring timely connections for various daily activities and representing the company positively within the community.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Possession of a valid PCV licence is required; applicants lacking this can apply for a trainee role with paid training offered.
- Licence must have six points or fewer.
- Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as scheduled.
