Role Overview

Nair Systems LLC seeks an experienced FTP Business Analyst to join its Qatar-based operations, focusing on funds transfer pricing, treasury functions, and financial performance analysis.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, ideally within top-tier international banking institutions.
  • Background to include Treasury, Finance, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Risk Analytics, Business Analysis, or Performance Management.
  • Preferably familiar with profitability, liquidity, capital management, or Risk-Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC) frameworks.

Key Competencies and Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of FTP methods and balance sheet management principles.
  • Understanding of liquidity-based pricing, profitability assessment, and treasury operations.
  • Strong capabilities in business analysis, documenting requirements, and stakeholder communication.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills for data interpretation, reporting, and dashboard creation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze FTP methodologies, profitability factors, and mechanisms for funding allocation thoroughly.
  • Assess FTP's impact on product pricing, business profitability, and overall balance sheet health.
  • Contribute to developing analytical modeling and management reporting that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Implement key performance indicators and best practices relevant to the FTP Business Analyst role.
  • Promote cost-efficiency, productivity enhancements, and waste reduction to optimize bank benefits.
  • Operate within delegated authority limits effectively.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Business Units, and IT teams.
  • Lead business requirements gathering sessions and prepare detailed functional documentation.
  • Educate business users on FTP changes and reporting output interpretations.
  • Address client inquiries relating to the bank's products and find suitable solutions.
  • Maintain adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and foster strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Provide timely and precise data to auditors, compliance, financial control, and risk functions as needed.
  • Review existing FTP models, liquidity pricing, and profitability frameworks to identify improvement areas.
  • Support development and documentation related to funding curves, behavioral assumptions, margin allocations, and reporting.
  • Assist in FTP transformation projects, including implementation, testing, data validation, and enhancing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by encouraging innovative thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and adopting industry-leading practices.
  • Update and share knowledge concerning FTP, ALM, liquidity management, and banking profitability methodologies.
  • Stay current with regulatory updates, industry trends, and treasury transformation efforts.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and contribute to knowledge sharing efforts.
  • Comply fully with all legal, regulatory, and internal compliance mandates including AML, CTF, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, whistleblowing, conflict of interest, and insider dealing policies.
  • Understand and operate within the Three Lines of Defence risk management framework to monitor and report risks appropriately.
  • Ensure responsible client outcomes aligned with Conduct Risk guidelines.
  • Support operational risk processes such as RCSA, KRI monitoring, incident reporting, and remediation.
  • Maintain the necessary competence through mandatory training and seminars as prescribed by the bank.
