Frontend Engineer

Role Overview

Join Genesys to develop cutting-edge AI-driven customer experience technologies. This role focuses on creating AI-powered conversational products that improve customer interactions globally, working with over 8,000 organizations. As part of the Conversational AI team, you will design and build frontend software components enabling generative AI capabilities for Genesys customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and testable software incorporating essential product features.
• Drive features through the complete lifecycle from design and testing to deployment and maintenance.
• Comprehend the broader software architecture and ecosystem integration.
• Engage actively in team code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Implement user experience best practices for optimal customer interaction.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to enhance productivity without compromising engineering standards.
• Apply stringent processes for data security, traceability, and proper information sharing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Over three years of experience in web development, focused on delivering user experience-driven designs.
• Strong proficiency in Angular, alongside JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience working with RESTful web services both in consumption and development.
• Proficient in version control systems, specifically Git.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows and tools.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a strong growth mindset.
• Deep passion for frontend engineering and development.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern AI technologies, especially regarding safety, privacy, and reliability, acquired via internal training and applied practice.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of accessibility standards compliance.
• Experience in Python or Java programming languages.
• Hands-on involvement with AWS cloud technologies.
• Use of defect tracking and test management tools, for example, Jira.
• Understanding microservice architecture principles and industry best practices.
• Exposure to bot platforms or natural language understanding concepts and implementations.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and current engineering workflows.
