Role Importance

The Front Store Manager (FSM) oversees the comprehensive performance of the Front Store—encompassing all areas apart from the Pharmacy, including cosmetics. The FSM leads a team committed to delivering outstanding customer service, implementing operational procedures within financial parameters, and achieving store objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain high Store Standards to enhance customer experience, increase foot traffic, and improve profitability.
• Collaborate with the Management Team to ensure consistent adherence to Store Standards, including backroom operations.
• Manage labor scheduling efficiently using Work Force Management tools to optimize productivity.
• Ensure adequate staffing to support smooth store operations.
• Uphold Human Resources policies and standards.
• Lead and support hiring processes for all non-Pharmacy departments.
• Administer wage policies in alignment with SLPH guidelines.
• Conduct probation and annual performance reviews for employees.
• Provide ongoing coaching, develop action plans, and follow up to enhance staff performance.
• Promote an engaged workforce by fostering the Blue Culture and demonstrating core company values through leadership.
• Analyze financial report data to identify trends and discrepancies and act on these insights through FSM Monitoring Reports.
• Achieve set financial targets on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Set motivating department goals to drive employee performance and meet objectives.
• Implement business strategies focused on boosting store efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven skills in planning, critical judgment, and decision-making to optimize expenses.
• Inventory management planning and preparation experience.
• Track record of effective leadership and mentoring to foster team growth and development.
• Strong time management and the ability to prioritize amidst changing business needs.
• Well-developed organizational and planning skills.
• A minimum of 5 years of retail management experience.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead by example, drive business outcomes, and support corporate initiatives.
• Collaborative approach working effectively within a management team.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication capabilities.
• Robust business insight and financial understanding.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners.
