Role Overview
The Front Office All Rounder at ibis Mackay is a vital team member responsible for ensuring guests have an enjoyable stay through delivering courteous, genuine, and swift assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests promptly with check-ins and check-outs in a polite and efficient manner.
- Support reservation activities as needed.
- Respond to guest requests and strive to create memorable experiences.
- Ensure timely delivery of guest amenities while safeguarding guests and their belongings.
- Coordinate daily with inter-departmental teams, including housekeeping, to manage guest needs and movements.
- Address and manage guest complaints proactively and effectively to exceed expectations.
- Actively promote hotel amenities and seek opportunities to enhance each guest's stay.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect authentically with guests.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Prior customer service experience, ideally within a hotel setting.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems such as OPERA Cloud.
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Outstanding communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to work various shifts including weekends, evenings, night shifts, and public holidays.
- Must possess full working rights in Australia.
