Role Overview

The Front Desk Agent is entrusted with delivering superior guest service by ensuring seamless check-in and check-out operations, addressing guest inquiries, and fostering memorable guest stays that align with luxury hospitality standards. This position demands professionalism, meticulousness, outstanding communication, and a proactive approach to guest requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and in a professional manner upon arrival.
  • Conduct accurate and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Provide personalized escort and VIP guest welcome/departure experiences as necessary.
  • Offer detailed information regarding hotel amenities, services, local sights, transportation, and dining options.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of hotel offerings, promotions, and services.
  • Confirm guests’ reservations and registration data.
  • Allocate rooms aligned with guest preferences and hotel protocols.
  • Effectively handle special requests, room upgrades, and modifications.
  • Keep guest profiles and records updated in the Property Management System.
  • Coordinate proactively with Housekeeping, Concierge, Engineering, Security, and other teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Respond swiftly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Notify relevant departments about VIP arrivals, special events, and guest preferences.
  • Manage payments, deposits, billing adjustments, and foreign currency exchanges according to hotel guidelines.
  • Accurately balance cash floats and prepare daily financial summaries.
  • Ensure proper posting and settlement of guest accounts.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality of guest data and financial transactions.
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer proactive assistance.
  • Resolve guest concerns efficiently and courteously to maximize satisfaction.
  • Follow up on guest feedback and requests to guarantee effective resolution.
  • Develop positive guest rapport to encourage repeat visits.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Prior experience working in Front Office, Guest Services, or Reception roles within luxury hotel settings is preferable.
  • Familiarity with Opera PMS or comparable hotel management software.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic languages; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
