Role Overview

The Freight Broker position is a full-time, on-premises role located in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying and pairing freight consignments with appropriate carriers, negotiating transportation fees, and confirming comprehensive shipment documentation. Daily duties include managing dispatch activities, overseeing shipment progress, and addressing any service issues or delays proactively. Maintaining robust relationships with customers and carriers, responding to inquiries, and furnishing regular shipment updates are key components of the role. Additionally, the Freight Broker will oversee major accounts, track operational performance, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless logistics management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in freight brokerage and load coordination, including rate negotiation and shipment coordination.
• Strong customer service capabilities for effective communication and maintaining positive client and carrier relations.
• Proficiency in dispatch operations to assign freight, monitor shipments, and provide real-time logistics monitoring.
• Account management experience to handle client portfolios, analyze performance metrics, and identify expansion opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency, comfort with transportation management or CRM platforms, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Preferably holds prior practical experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management; educational background in business, logistics, or similar disciplines is advantageous.
• Ability to work full-time at the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar location, manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic setting, and apply meticulous attention to detail in decision-making.
