About the Role
We are searching for a skilled Freelance Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Trainer who has a strong background in conducting training specifically for industrial shutdowns and turnarounds. This role involves delivering practical, engaging, and compliant HSE training aimed at preparing teams for operating safely during shutdown activities in hazardous environments. The position is temporary and project-based, supporting training during shutdown campaigns scheduled in March–April 2026 and October–November 2026 or 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement shutdown-focused HSE training modules including inductions, toolbox talks, refresher courses, and job-specific safety training.
- Ensure all training complies with international and local safety standards such as NEBOSH, IOSH, and OSHA.
- Assess training needs to tailor programs aligned with specific project risks.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, simulations, and competency evaluations.
- Keep detailed records of training attendance, assessments, and results.
- Facilitate HSE orientations for diverse, multi-disciplinary teams involved in shutdowns.
- Provide expert guidance on high-risk operations like confined space entry, hot work, work at heights, lifting operations, and permit-to-work procedures.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in HSE fields, with at least 3 years dedicated to shutdown or turnaround projects.
- Possession of a recognized HSE certification such as NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH PSM, OSHA, or equivalent.
- Preferably holds certification as a trainer or assessor (e.g., Highfield, IOSH, or similar).
- Comprehensive knowledge of shutdown-specific hazards, safety controls, and emergency protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills to engage a varied workforce.
- Proficiency in Hindi, English, and Urdu languages, both spoken and written, is desirable.
- Availability to work during both shutdown sessions in March–April and October–November 2026.

Employment Details
