Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Founding Operator to join as the first hire in our start-up, poised to revolutionize the school uniform industry much like Revolut did for banking. You will be the fourth team member, working closely with the two founders — one handling product and production, the other managing brand and sales. Your role will be pivotal in transforming plans into action across multiple facets of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sales process after onboarding a school: from delivering samples, maintaining communication with principals, informing parents, monitoring orders to analyzing weekly sales data and strategizing accordingly.
- Upload and verify hundreds of school pages on our Shopify platform from spreadsheets in collaboration with our web agency, ensuring accuracy before going live.
- Engage with parents via WhatsApp and email to address inquiries and transform feedback into product or process improvements.
- Proactively track and resolve issues that cause delays, such as factory samples or pending agency tasks.
- Utilize AI tools daily to efficiently handle workflows traditionally requiring a larger team.
Candidate Profile
- Possess strong entrepreneurial drive and self-leadership; capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Have independently initiated or managed a project, event, or business — success or failure both valued as learning experiences.
- Experience with e-commerce, particularly platforms like Shopify, is advantageous though not mandatory.
- Organized and detail-oriented, naturally keeping track of tasks and data without oversight.
- Practical experience applying AI tools beyond basic tasks like email writing.
- Bonus: personal insight into sensory sensitivities with clothing, whether personally experienced or through family.
- Educational background is not a consideration; focus is on achievements, rapid learning, and hunger for growth.
Compensation and Perks
- Opportunity to hold a significant role with real decision-making power at an early stage startup.
- Competitive base salary ranging from €35,000 to €50,000 per year, complemented by share options to benefit from company growth.
Application Process
To apply, do not submit a traditional CV. Instead, provide four key items by email:
- A concise story (no more than half a page) detailing an achievement or initiative you led.
- Your feedback on one improvement you would suggest after spending 20 minutes on our website flydays.com.
- An explanation of how you have leveraged AI tools beyond basic email writing.
- A brief LinkedIn profile or summary of your experience so far.
Each application is personally reviewed by the founders. Successful candidates will be contacted for a short paid task to ensure mutual fit. We aim for a swift hiring phase.
