Our vision is to enhance the restaurant industry's vitality through connected and engaged teams.
Role Overview
As a Founding Business Development Representative for the Mid-Market segment, your focus will be on generating new business from restaurant groups operating 10 or more locations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sales Development SMB & Mid-Market, your mission is to build and qualify opportunities for the Mid-Market Account Executive team by engaging with key operators and executives within multi-unit and enterprise brands. You will create and optimize your prospecting approach, establishing repeatable processes and scaling sales motion within this market segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop pipeline targeting restaurant chains with 10+ locations, arranging qualified meetings for the mid-market sales team.
- Utilize diverse outreach methods including calls, emails, social media, networking, and events to secure access and distinguish your communications.
- Manage and nurture your account portfolio using Salesforce for research and multi-thread communication with decision-makers responsible for contract signing.
- Leverage AI-driven prospecting tools and internal analytics to prioritize high-value accounts and personalize outreach efficiently.
- Consistently meet and surpass sales targets, focusing equally on pipeline volume and quality to ensure booked meetings convert to genuine opportunities.
- Contribute to refining the sales playbook by identifying effective tactics and areas needing improvement, facilitating scalable processes as the segment expands.
Candidate Profile
- Experience carrying quotas in outbound sales, preferably within B2B SaaS environments, with demonstrated success in acquiring new pipeline.
- Insight into the restaurant industry, understanding the perspectives of operators and leaders managing multiple locations.
- A resourceful, proactive approach to networking and prospecting to secure meetings and stand out amid competitive communication channels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with empathetic listening abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for prioritizing accounts and structuring workflows independently in the absence of established processes.
- A history of notable achievements or competitive success and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Preferred but Not Required
- Familiarity with restaurant technology such as POS systems, payroll solutions, online ordering, reservations, or tip management.
- Experience using sales engagement platforms like Outreach or Salesloft, or similar sequencing tools.
Compensation and Progression
The role offers a base salary between CAD 68,800 and 100,000, complemented by commission opportunities. This range covers a full career pathway from skill development through to expert performance levels. Hiring typically targets candidates at the accomplished stage, with relevant experience, consistent delivery, and growth potential. Compensation grows along with demonstrated skills and impact, evaluated according to job knowledge, experience, and internal equitable practices.
