Job description
About the Role
We are assisting a fast-growing, well-funded connectivity infrastructure firm raising Series A funds in recruiting a Founding Business Development Representative (BDR). This crucial role involves developing outbound sales efforts focused on a select list of Tier 1 and Tier 2 enterprise accounts concentrated in fintech, financial services, travel, and aviation sectors. The position operates primarily from London, with a hybrid work setup (2-3 days in office weekly).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive pipeline creation through targeted outbound engagement with named strategic enterprise clients.
- Establish and nurture relationships with senior executives responsible for embedding connectivity solutions within their products across fintech, financial services, travel, and aviation industries.
- Collaborate closely with Vertical Directors and sales leadership for account mapping, messaging refinement, and lead qualification.
- Conduct comprehensive account research to enable a tailored, sophisticated outbound strategy rather than relying on generic scripts.
- Contribute to designing and refining the outbound sales playbook, including processes, messaging, and tools, as one of the founding members of the commercial team.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years of experience as a BDR or SDR, preferably with exposure to complete enterprise or strategic account prospecting cycles.
- Track record of engaging with technical or regulated buyers, with a preference for experience in fintech, financial services, travel, aviation, or connectivity/telecommunications sectors.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, early-stage startups with significant ownership responsibilities and minimal established processes.
- Excellent communication skills capable of navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying groups and confidently interacting with senior decision-makers.
- A founder's mentality with a passion for building and developing new frameworks rather than following pre-set playbooks.
Compensation and Opportunities
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Direct access to leadership with meaningful influence over the development of the commercial organization.
