Role Summary

As a Forward Deployed Implementation Engineer at TENEX, you will play a pivotal role in enabling customers to successfully deploy and utilize our platform. You will be responsible for comprehensive deployment processes including onboarding log sources, configuring connectors, loading TENEX's comprehensive security content library, and training customers to maximize value from day one. This role demands a hands-on approach and frequent customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete platform deployments for new clients using Google SecOps and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Onboard various log sources, set up data connectors, and ensure data ingestion pipelines are fully operational.
• Deploy TENEX's security content—including parsers, dashboards, detection rules, and automated playbooks crafted by Security Solution Engineers—in client environments.
• Execute standardized MDR coverage protocols to meet timeline objectives (SLOs).
• Diagnose and resolve any connectivity, configuration, or ingestion issues during deployment.
• Provide comprehensive training sessions for customers to help them navigate and leverage their deployed security platforms effectively.
• Document all deployment configurations and prepare thorough handoff notes for subsequent support teams.
• Manage multiple simultaneous deployments, tailored by the deployment's complexity and platform specifics.
• Promptly escalate complex technical challenges to senior engineering staff or management as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, cloud engineering, or a related technical domain.
• Practical expertise with SIEM platforms, especially Google SecOps and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Proficiency in onboarding log sources, handling data connectors, and configuring ingestion pipelines.
• Knowledge of data pipeline tools such as Bindplane, OpenTelemetry, Cribl, or their equivalents.
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• A solid grasp of networking principles and security operations processes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.

Education and Certifications

• Relevant credentials such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC certifications, Google Cloud Professional, Microsoft SC-200/AZ-500, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are advantageous.
