Role Overview

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer skilled in strong engineering principles, keen product insight, and adept at leveraging AI tools to build impactful products. This role involves identifying essential problems, conceptualizing relevant solutions, and delivering fully functional software used by end-users.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform ambiguous challenges into shipping-ready products by collaborating closely with stakeholders to define needs, question assumptions, set success metrics, and deliver lean solutions.
• Develop across the technology stack, including user interfaces, backend services, APIs, databases, integrations, and automated workflows.
• Apply a refined sense of product design focusing on hierarchy, interaction, responsiveness, accessibility, and performance to craft intuitive software experiences.
• Integrate AI tools deeply into development processes with strong technical oversight over architecture, security, and maintainability.
• Design and implement useful AI-driven features by assessing model performance, operational costs, latency, and potential failure scenarios before deployment.
• Establish cohesive integration among products and third-party services through clear interface contracts and dependable data flows.
• Take full responsibility for production quality by authoring tests, monitoring system health, handling failures, and validating real user experiences.
• Connect engineering efforts to business outcomes by measuring impacts on user adoption, conversion rates, reliability, operational efficiency, and team delivery velocity.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven experience delivering software in production environments for real users or teams.
• Strong full-stack development skills with the ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases efficiently.
• Hands-on proficiency working with AI-assisted coding tools like Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor to produce meaningful engineering results.
• Disciplined in critically reviewing AI-generated code, identifying errors, and clearly articulating your contributions.
• Experienced with APIs, authentication protocols, relational databases, asynchronous processing, and third-party integration.
• Demonstrates sound judgment managing state, permissions, retries, and consistency across distributed systems.
• Keen product sensibility, recognizing subtle quality issues beyond basic correctness.
• Excellent communication communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-driven, inquisitive, able to advance work independently while raising uncertainties and seeking assistance when necessary.

Preferred Skills and Domains

Familiarity with React or Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and cloud deployment platforms is advantageous. Experience working in domains like healthcare, fintech, marketplaces, or commerce that coordinate real-world services is beneficial.
