Role Overview

This position offers an exciting chance to pioneer how enterprises incorporate AI in practical contexts. As a vital connection between the core North platform and client engineering teams, you will develop production-grade AI agent workflows powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). Your efforts will translate fuzzy business challenges into actionable, reliable AI solutions embedded securely within enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand and frame ambiguous, valuable business issues into defined agentic workflows with measurable success criteria.
• Design, build, and deploy LLM-driven agents capable of reasoning, planning, and interacting across APIs, tools, and sensitive datasets, ensuring enterprise-grade reliability and safety.
• Develop and enhance features across the entire lifecycle of the North AI workspace platform, from inception through deployment to maintenance.
• Take full ownership of use cases, adapting to different technical demands including frontend development to deliver optimal solutions.
• Establish shared frameworks and coding patterns to uphold consistent, high-quality engineering standards across teams and customers.
• Navigate ambiguity to foster alignment, improve engineering practices, and communicate effectively within the organization.
• Be prepared for 20-40% travel to customer sites and partners to facilitate collaboration and deployment.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience developing and deploying clean, scalable, testable Python software in production environments.
• Expertise in creating sophisticated RAG and agentic AI applications that execute multi-step workflows using frameworks like ReAct or Plan-and-Execute.
• Thorough knowledge of the LLM technical stack including frontier models, vector databases, and orchestration layers.
• Skill in designing robust evaluation systems to accurately measure agent performance, safety, and responsiveness beyond trial-and-error approaches.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience leading technical discussions and translating fuzzy enterprise requirements into precise solutions.
• Capable of managing projects end-to-end with agility in fast-changing, uncertain settings.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Setting architectural best practices for AI and agent systems in distributed team environments.
• Flexibility to work in unfamiliar technical domains, such as frontend, when project needs arise.
• Experience dealing with regulated industries and sensitive data environments, such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
• Understanding enterprise-level security, compliance, and audit requirements specific to AI systems.
