Job description
Overview
Join Salesforce, a leader in AI-driven Customer Relationship Management (CRM), as a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) specializing in Agentforce Operations (Regrello). This role centers on creating and deploying sophisticated agentic artificial intelligence solutions within enterprise environments, transforming manual, document-heavy procedures into finely orchestrated AI agent workflows that integrate across systems and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, configure, and refine complex operational workflows featuring agent reasoning, conditional execution loops, and tool invocation using Agentforce Operations.
- Develop agent communication protocols, including implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), to facilitate effective context sharing, task delegation, and tool usage among specialized AI agents.
- Design and operate real-time data grounding infrastructure using Retrieval-Augmented Generation techniques, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases to provide accurate and current enterprise context to AI agents.
- Create and sustain custom APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and integration pipelines to link Agentforce with Salesforce Data Cloud, cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks), and core ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), using MuleSoft or bespoke middleware.
- Utilize modern AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development from conceptual architecture to deployable code rapidly.
- Model data, implement ETL/ELT pipelines, and develop real-time dashboards to monitor AI agent performance, execution success, fallback mechanisms, and business impact.
- Act as a vital conduit between frontline deployments and internal product teams to convey real-world feedback, influencing the evolution of Salesforce platform features.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years of professional experience in relevant technical roles.
- Expertise in AI, especially in LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and constructing RAG pipelines with enterprise data repositories.
- Proficient in multi-agent system design and API technologies including REST, SOAP, webhooks, and modern messaging architectures like MCP.
- Strong experience in orchestrating processes and facilitating API-led connectivity with middleware such as MuleSoft, integrating AI agents with legacy ERP systems.
- Deep knowledge of data schema design, modeling, and asynchronous messaging integration.
- Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., Pega, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, ServiceNow, Appian, Microsoft Power Platform) and contemporary enterprise AI/agent platforms (Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, IBM watsonx, Palantir AIP, ServiceNow AI Agents).
- Experience with enterprise applications like Workday, Coupa, Jira, Slack, and major warehouse or transportation management systems.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and master data management systems such as Informatica, Collibra, SAP MDG, and Reltio, as well as operational execution platforms (Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Oracle transportation management).
- A willingness to travel 25-30% to support key on-site enterprise deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialized knowledge in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Logistics Execution domains.
- Experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem, including Agentforce specialization, Data Cloud, Apex, Flow, or headless architectures.
- Hands-on use of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
