Role Overview

The Forward Deployed Engineer position is a full-time remote role engaging directly with clients to conceive, develop, and implement digital products and systems. Daily tasks involve converting client business needs into technical designs, crafting back-end services and APIs, and facilitating system integrations for both web and mobile platforms. Collaboration with designers, product owners, and other software engineers is essential to streamline workflows, automate procedures, and uphold code quality and maintainability. Additionally, the engineer addresses production challenges, enhances system performance, and contributes to technical documentation and best practice guidelines. Effective communication with stakeholders, priority management, and proactive identification of technology-driven opportunities to improve client operations are key expectations for this role.

Candidate Qualifications

• Solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
• Proven experience in back-end and software development, especially in building APIs and server-side software.
• Practical programming abilities in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#.
• Thorough understanding and application of Object-Oriented Programming concepts in production environments.
• Familiarity with databases (both SQL and NoSQL), Git for version control, and contemporary development methodologies.
• Capability to interact directly with clients, capture their requirements, and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of distributed teams.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, system integration, or workflow automation is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to producing reliable, high-quality work.
