Job description
About LangChain
LangChain aims to make intelligent AI agents widely accessible by offering foundational technology for agent development. Originating as popular open-source tools, the company now provides a comprehensive platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and managing AI agents at enterprise scale. With $125M in Series B funding from top investors, LangChain's growing platform includes LangSmith for observability and deployment, various open-source frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph, and the LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent enhancement. They serve over 6,000 customers including major Fortune 10 companies.
Role Overview
We seek a Deployed Architect to join our Professional Services team to collaborate with enterprise clients in designing, deploying, and optimizing robust AI infrastructure and multi-agent systems. This role merges software development, platform engineering, and client engagement to architect scalable, secure environments and build production-quality AI agent solutions that address business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer scalable, highly available AI infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and security components, using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
- Design Kubernetes clusters (GKE, EKS, AKS) focusing on autoscaling and multi-zone deployment strategies with an emphasis on high availability and disaster recovery.
- Create CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application lifecycles and establish robust enterprise integration patterns.
- Develop and implement multi-agent systems leveraging modern frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
- Design evaluation frameworks, optimize AI prompt engineering via A/B testing, and guide deployment operations.
- Engage with customers directly to assess technical maturity, gather requirements, and deliver tailored architectural recommendations.
- Partner closely with Engagement Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to align solutions with customer needs.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years in hands-on, technical roles involving customer interaction (e.g., Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer).
- At least 3 years experience designing and implementing production infrastructure on major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Proven Kubernetes expertise in cluster architecture, autoscaling, and multi-zone setups.
- Strong skills with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and GitOps methodologies.
- Deep understanding of database management including high availability, replication, backups, and capacity planning.
- Experience with networking, security protocols (SSO/RBAC, TLS, secrets management), and observability tools like Prometheus and Datadog.
- Familiar with building AI/ML powered applications or agents for at least 1 year, with proficiency in LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or alike).
- Competence in state management strategies (short- and long-term memory) and setting up AI evaluation mechanisms.
- Expertise in prompt engineering, vector stores, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques, and integrating APIs and tooling.
- Strong programming capabilities in Python or TypeScript.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with enterprise clients and conduct technical assessments.
Attributes and Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally between engineering, product, and customers.
- Consultative approach to understanding and advising on customer needs.
- Ability to balance infrastructure design with AI agent development efforts.
- Established hands-on engineering and development background.
Compensation and Location
Annual base salary ranges from $185,000 to $260,000 plus equity. This position is based in Singapore with remote working flexibility and up to 25% travel.
Benefits and Perks
The comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible vacation policies, a 401(k) retirement plan, and meals on in-office days (in the US). Regional employees receive benefits aligned with local norms and regulations.
