Job description
<p>As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work within a product-oriented team which focuses on designing, building and improving end-to-end workflows (such as surveying or inspection) that are part of the Auterion software ecosystem offering.</p>
<p>You will contribute in building and extending scalable, user-friendly features which will be tightly integrated into our Auterion Mission Control and AuterionOS software.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop new applications and enhance existing software in the Auterion onboard linux computer (Mission Computer)</li>
<li>Work with the broader engineering and program management teams to define and implement customer requirements </li>
<li>Become a subject-matter-expert on AuterionOS app development</li>
<li>Support driving the AuterionOS architecture in areas such as application development workflows, middleware and general software architecture</li>
<li>Work daily with C++ in a Linux environment</li>
<li>Write clear, well documented and easy to maintain code and collaborate with your team through Git</li>
<li>Participate in development planning and prioritization</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering </li>
<li>5+ years of experience in software development</li>
<li>Proficient in C++ development on Linux platforms</li>
<li>Working knowledge of L2/L3 computer networking principles</li>
<li>Experience writing modular software using modern design practices</li>
<li>Detail oriented with great technical documentation and communication skills</li>
<li>Proficiency/practical experience with containerization technologies such as Docker</li>
<li>Understanding of C++ Build Systems (eg. CMake), Dependency Management & Cross Compilation</li>
<li>Familiarity with the Linux kernel and its interaction with hardware is a plus</li>
<li>EU Citizenship required </li>
