Role Overview
We seek a Foreperson to join our maintenance team in Gisborne, leading the execution of network maintenance projects. This role requires strong leadership capabilities and proven experience operating machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide teams carrying out network maintenance tasks.
- Organize and schedule daily work programs effectively.
- Manage subcontractors, equipment, materials, and resources at job sites.
- Oversee productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports and measurements.
- Coach and develop team members through direct leadership.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Champion a strong safety culture with a focus on Zero Harm principles.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 driver's license.
- Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsement.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience or Level 4 qualification (practical experience can substitute formal education).
Preferred Experience
- Operational experience with machinery in civil or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance, civil construction, or infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving and leadership.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
- Dedication to continuous improvements and delivering high-quality results.
