Key Responsibilities

• Promptly and accurately deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests.
• Carry multiple plates safely and confidently without using trays.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and correct orders.
• Confidently describe dishes to guests, highlighting main ingredients and presentation.
• Deliver plates at appropriate temperatures with correct accompaniments.
• Assemble, package, and verify to-go orders for presentation, accuracy, and secure packaging.
• Identify dietary restrictions or allergies proactively, offering informed menu recommendations to maintain safety and dining satisfaction.
• Assist servers by monitoring tables and responding to guest needs during meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo areas, bread stations, and the dining room.
• Handle guest questions or concerns professionally, escalating issues to servers or management when necessary.
• Perform assigned opening, side-work, and closing tasks.
• Adhere strictly to health, sanitation, and safety policies.
• Support coworkers and foster a positive, respectful workplace environment.
• Attend mandatory meetings and complete any company training.
• Maintain proper uniform and present a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Adhere to consistent work schedules and prioritize safety in all duties.
• Be open to cross-training and additional assignments as management directs.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a food runner or a similar support role, ideally within upscale or fine dining settings.
• Excellent communication abilities and teamwork skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and select holidays.
• Flexibility in scheduling is advantageous.
• Possession of a valid Food Handler Certificate.
• Possession of a valid State Alcohol Server Certificate (TABC).
