Role Overview

The Food Designer will be tasked with crafting and elevating food and beverage visual presentations throughout the hotel. This role demands creativity to enhance guest dining experiences by producing innovative, artistic food styling that aligns with the hotel’s luxury standards and brand identity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative and artistic plating concepts that meet luxury hospitality quality.
  • Partner with Executive Chefs to perfect dish presentations before service or photography.
  • Introduce novel food presentation ideas aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction scores.
  • Manage buffet arrangement ensuring visually attractive and orderly displays.
  • Maintain color harmony, texture, and visual consistency in all dishes served.
  • Advise on menu design focusing on the visual and presentation aspects.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to style food for photoshoots, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Keep abreast of international food styling trends and adopt suitable innovations.
  • Adhere to hygiene and food safety protocols in all food presentation activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior work experience of 2 to 5 years in luxury hotels or fine dining establishments preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food plating and styling methods.
  • Creative flair with meticulous attention to detail and visual appeal.
  • Basic culinary knowledge including cooking methods and ingredient characteristics.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with culinary and marketing departments.
