Job description
Job Overview
The role involves completing closing procedures such as storing reusable items, dismantling goods, cleaning equipment and work areas, returning equipment to designated places, securing refrigerators, restocking supplies, turning off lights, locking doors, and filling out daily cleaning checklists.
Daily Responsibilities
- Set up, stock, and maintain workstations throughout shifts.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper presentation of all utensils including china, glassware, and silverware prior to use.
- Maintain cleanliness of work environments continuously using clean-as-you-go methods.
Policies and Procedures
- Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies; promptly report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Complete all required safety trainings and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uniform cleanliness.
- Protect confidentiality of company information and safeguard company assets.
Guest Interaction and Communication
- Warmly welcome and acknowledge guests following company standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Answer telephone calls respectfully using proper etiquette.
Teamwork and Work Environment
- Build and sustain positive working relationships to support team objectives.
- Listen and respond effectively to concerns raised by fellow employees.
- Uphold quality standards and company expectations consistently.
Physical Requirements and Other Duties
- Read and interpret information presented in various formats, including small print.
- Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods or entire shifts.
- Handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
- Demonstrate good coordination and fine motor skills for manipulating objects of different sizes and weights.
- Navigate uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs or ramps safely.
- Reach overhead and below knees, incorporating bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping movements.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No previous related experience or supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
