Fleet Operations Executive

Job Overview

We seek an experienced Fleet Operations Executive to oversee daily bus operations at the Nayanda Hali parking facility. This role encompasses managing intercity bus services to guarantee optimal functionality, vehicle availability, crew coordination, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily functioning of intercity bus services ensuring schedules are met.
• Coordinate departures and arrivals to maintain punctuality.
• Manage communication and coordination with drivers, cleaning staff, and ground personnel.
• Monitor vehicle status, manage breakdowns and downtime effectively.
• Plan trips, organize routes, and handle bus deployment logistics.
• Ensure buses are clean, undergo basic maintenance, and are ready for service.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and servicing needs.
• Track fuel consumption and generate basic operational reports.
• Address on-site issues, manage delays, and handle escalations promptly.
• Ensure adherence to permits, necessary documentation, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in bus, cab, or logistics sectors.
• Strong advantage for candidates experienced with intercity or fixed-route operations.
• Excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in managing drivers and support staff.
• Basic understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance procedures.
• Comfortable preparing basic reports, particularly utilizing Excel.
• Availability to work in rotational shifts and extended hours when necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work with bus operators, transport aggregators, or companies in the transportation industry is favorable.
